Carnival hires thieves to robbe guests and lies about compen

was brutally robbed during the getting off the ship process.
The night before the end of the cruise i was forced by the clerk at the information desk from South Africa ( I do not remember the name) to check in my small bag and when I got it back the next morning it was half open and i called the dembarkation manager and started searching the bag. My digital camera was gone from the bag. The dembarkation manager assured me that either the Carnival would find the camera or compensate me for it. I filed the report. When I called the customer affairs the next day they told me that they do not held any responsibility for any stolen items and that the information given to me by clerk at the information desk the night before was incorrect. I feel that as long as Carnival personnel provides incorrect information to guests and they should accept some responsibility for that accident as well get local police involved into this accident. I feel that customer service and organization of the Carnival Line is at extremely low level and violates consumer rights in all possible ways. I would like this situation to be looked into to and resolved. I feel that Carnival took advantage of me by misinforming me of the luggage check in situation that caused the theft accident. I see that as Carnival negligence and waiting for the acceptable resolution. I can provide witnesses if necessary that would confirm the conversation that took place at the Carnival’s information desk (as well as I’m sure Carnival has security cameras located along the ship that can show my presence at the information desk and pick the clerk that we were talking to). .
Carnival Valor employee’s negligence has a cost of 750$. . Carnival refuses even look into that or investigate. I asked to call police but they refused saying that the accident happened at the ship and not land.

that is quite disturbing. if asked i won't check small bags(or at least keep
cameras etc.with me) since someone has sticky fingers. i sure hope that
carnival compensated you in some way. not the way you want to end a vacation.
