We are planning to take the 30-day cruise on The Statendam leaving San Diego on Jan. 5 for the Hawaiian Islands and Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora. A couple of concerns. I understand it is the rainy season in the South Pacific and that it can be quite humid as well. This could explain the lower than expected price for 30 days.

Also we cannot get a verandah cabin and are not sure about the size of the outside cabins, nor the amenities on the ship. We have sailed Golden Princess and Westerdam and liked both, but understand Statendam is an older ship.
