Some questions from a couple of newbies

Some questions from a couple of newbies

Hi everyone, my girlfriend and I are planning our first trip to a Sandals resort (Jamaican only) in March 2005. Knowing nothing about Sandals resorts and having never been there we have some questions. What is the busy season, slow season and hurricane season? Any guesses on how good the new resort Whitehouse might be? It's opening February 2005 and has 360 all-oceanview rooms. It's 1.5 hours from Montego Bay so I would imagine it wouldn't be subjected to jet noise? When you get off the plane at the airport, are you shuttled bussed to your resort? I've heard people talk about TimAir but are people using a plane to get to their resort or are they for sightseeing adventures?

We are thinking of staying at either Dunns River or Ocho Rios, does anyone have some personal experience that they would like to share about either of these resorts? Thanks to all who provide their feedback to our post.

didn't see your earlier post. we went to sandal mo bay in september and are going back in january. we did not find the jet noise too bothersom and in fact the resort turned it into a game. i have had friends go to ocho rios and while they liked the resort they complained profusely about the long drive. as i said earlier i liked the ten minute proximity to the resort. i have some pictures of smb if you want them. just send me a private e-mail with your e-mail address and i will send you what i have. it truely was like the brocure.

I believe most people take the bus from the airport to sdr. We don't mind the planes and prefer the short ride to smb. This will be our 6 time this March.

A small group of six of us will be at SDR in two weeks, so I will have some pictures and info for you in a month or so. I'll give you an honest opinion of our experience.

I will be excited to hear of your trip when you get back from SDR. We are going 3/5-3/12 and would really like to hear how it went. Right now with this cold Minnesota weather the count down is really important.
I hope you have a great trip and would love to hear about it.
