Morning;
Just received this from one of the Top Producing Sandals Travel Agencies and were wondering how it would affect what we pay for our Sandals stays:
"Sandals/Beaches Resorts Set "No Tolerance" policy for top discounting agencies . .. .. . This year's "star awards" (put on by Sandals and Beaches resorts) held the first week of December will have a new twist. Noticeably MISSING from the "awards" will be nearly all of last year's (and THIS year's) Top Ten booking agencies! UVI (Unique Vacations), the worldwide sales/marketing corporation for Sandals & Beaches, has established a "no tolerance" policy for agencies offering the traveler, discounted rates! Those agencies (naturally being many of the Best of The Best and the Top Ten booking agencies in the world) no longer have the "blessing" of Sandals, no longer can show their CSS (Certified Sandals Specialists) or PSS (Preferred Sandals Specialists) logos on their websites, and, according to the latest Sandals industry promotions, will no longer be eligible for the override and bonus monies which have been an integral part of most agency's ability to offer travelers great discounts for these resorts. Statements from Senior Sales & Marketing management indicate UVI's goal is to create a level playing field for all agencies to book a Sandals or Beaches property at the same rate . .. .. . the rate set by Sandals."
Rather interesting policy, that might cost us some money in the future.
