You may have better luck finding another couple when you get down there. Bring up golf during the busy time at the bar and put your offer out. People have a hart time comitting to a golf outing in advance with somene they don't know. Also get a feel for the good they are as it could be frustrating either way. They could be way better or worse than you know how that goes. If they are way worse you end up playing a 7 hour round of golf and you afternoon is shot and your caddy spends all of his timing giving golf lessons. If they are close to scratch you end up trying to rush yourself and the bad golf snowballs and you have 5 hours of expensive hell. While this is not always the case I find it is best to find a couple with handicaps within 8 of eachother and get out there first thing in the morning, 8 or 8:30 so you will be at the resort by 1 or 2.

One more thing. When my hubby goes golfing with 3 other guys they only require them to pay for one caddy. We noticed when we went as couples they required two. I think this is bull!!! If the girls in the 4some are pretty good golfers we should not have to pay for another caddy (and his frequent beers) I think that when they see 2 women they autonmatically assume we will be hitting in the trees or losing are ball etc and assign an extra caddy. I have been on the Sandals course in a couples 4some waiting fro 4 male hackers in front of us trying to get the most out of their vacation by utilizing the "free" golf included even thou they don'y know how to play the game!!

THANKS FOR THE REPLY. I AM A 10 HANDICAP AND MY WIFE IS ABOUT A 20 HANDICAP. WE WILL PROBABLY MEET SOMEONE AT THE BAR SINCE WE WILL BE SPENTING MOST OF OUR TIME THERE WHEN WE'RE NOT GOLFING.

Isn't all of the construction going on over at the old Beaches side? I thought Sandals Ocho Rios is open for business as usual right up until they merge.

There had been some construction on the SOR side, too because of the hurricane. It was over near Royal Plantation. We heard it in late September, but I think that is over.
