thinking of going to ocho rios

Postby maybee » Tue Nov 30, 2004 9:09 am

ok first off im thinking of going to ocho rios as a surprise vacation for my GF for her xmas present but i have cometo a few questions

is there nite life there? besides dinner cause thats all i see on the sndals website

and what are the water sports they offer all i saw really was scuba, watersking, sailing is there any para sailing, jetskiing etc.. . and if so do you have to pay for that . .

and third i guess is do you guys/gals that have been there think that we would enjoi it were in our mid to later 20's and enjoy relaxing but would like to have a lively nite life as well we would be going with another couple and how has that worked out for you guys in the past or is this more of just a honeymoon vacation?

thanks in advance

i havent booked yet but prolly wil in the next day or so

i think we talked on the other thread. plenty of people go in groups. in fact, my wife and i would love to get some of our friends to go with us. but don't go for the nightlife man. it's not there.

The nightlife is pretty dead, there are shows in the amphitheater and the piano bar can be fun, but other than that the place gets pretty quite at night.

My fiancé and I have been there twice and we have found that we don't seem to mind not having a lot to do at night since the days are so packed with fun and sun and Red Stripe.. . :D

We are planning to return in May for our honeymoon.. . I can't wait!! Only 152 days to go!!

I agree, its hard to stay awake after a full day of hummingbirds, volleyball, dirty bananas, dinner then pina coladas. We always travel in groups and sometime our group of 8 to 10 is the only one in the disco so we are the party. I must admit we rarely make it past midnight!
