China Tours

We are considering a China tour. Any information on how the quality of a Globus tour compares to others in China? We are concerned that this may not be a place where Golbus competes well.

Saw your query and we are also interested in a China Tour (with a Yangste River cruise). . Our friends took a SmarTours tour to China within the past year at a seemingly unbeatable price and liked it. The price is significantly less than Globus' even though they use the same river cruise company (Victoria Cruises) that Globus does.

We're looking seriously at that one and trying to find others. The tour company is at www.smartours.com -- take a look.

We went to China with Ritz tours about 2 years ago. Absolutely wonderful except we chose the wrong time to go. August is definitely not the time to go to China HOT!HOT!HOT!

I would highly recommend that you check the weather before you go.
If you would like email me at djwarren@bctonline.com

We took a China trip last summer with Viking River Cruises as the tour operator. It was well done, first class, and we would highly recommend it.

Try China Focus Travel Inc. - great tour, and great price.

I've gone on two tours to China, both from Isram. Isram provides a private guide for each city who meets you at the airport, tailors your sightseeing to your wishes and drops you off again at the airport.

The first tour was Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai. The second included an additional stop in Hong Kong, then Beijing, Xian, a 5 day Yangtse River cruise (the best part of either trip - just wonderful), then Shanghai.

I think the first tour was about $3000 per person, and the second about $4000 per person. Not cheap, but well worth it.

China who to use

I guess 1 year has passed and you may have gone already :!: . .
If not & for any others, as westwoman posted, wendy wu is good and we agree completely. We have only had this one trip with Wendy Wu but we will use them again. The trip did get tyring towards the last few days as we did everything. So try to squeeze in some free time to rest towards the end.

Go to http://www.wendywutours.com.au/. . We did the Grand Tour - 28 day All inclusive including return flight, entrance fees and meals. There were optional cultural shows with dinner which were also good value.
