I have just made arrangements to take the Trafalga tour
to Spain, Portugal, & Morocco. Can anyone who has ever
taken this tour, let me know if it is good. We are actually
nervous about going to Morrocco, but I always wanted to
go there as I love that part of the world. Please give me
any feed back it sure would be appreciated.

We took the tour two years ago, and it was a good one. Not an easy one tho.

We got a a better understanding of a part of the Arab world. While we were never in any danger, some parts were uncomfortable and I very much appreciated having a good tour director along to advise on what do do and not to do, and what to eat and not to eat. Contrasting our life style to that of the local residents, all of us are living like kings! Made me feel a bit uncomfortable to be so much better off.

Wonderful scenery, towns, people etc. Some of the hotels were a bit tacky, but not serious.

There are a couple of long days on the bus.

Downside--everyone on the bus got sick from some sort of bug we passed around. At coffee breaks we hit the drug store for stomach medicine instead of refreshment. One girl needed a doctor's care, which the tour director was good at arranging.

Go for it. But, bring a kit of stomach problem medicine and take the usual precuautions about always washing hands, etc, etc.

I was thinking of going to this tour in MArch, has anyone else (or the initial post) returned and have any comments?

Just returned from this tour last week. Excellent tour. I hope u gey Bozo as tour director.. .. .. . he is excellent. Listen to what he tells u. Watch ur food in Morocco. Eat nothing that's uncooked.Use bottled water(even 2 wash ur teeth) Food & water OK in Spain & Portugal. Some long days on the coach.. .. . but u are travelling a long distance and this can't be helped.Be firm, without being rude to street traders.. .. .. . I mean firm. Plenty of early morning starts (wake-up calls at 6.30am)Carpets may seem cheap but remember posting home can be expensive.Shopping time is limited.. .. . but it is a tour to see and feel the different cultures. I think everyone should spend 3-4 days every 5 years in Morocco to appreciate what they already have at home !!!!!!!!!! A really long good trip. But be prepared for a fast pace. There is alot to see and do.

Spain Porugal Morrocco

We took this Trafalgar tour two years ago. It is a LOT of driving I think they said we went over 4000 miles. So that part can be a bit hard on you. You see plenty and you are on the go constantly. The add-ons were not cheap. Some were really good, some were a big waste (visiting an empty bullfight ring). . I would pick and chose very carefully. The hotels were not always near the center of town, so it might be difficult to go out on your own. We really enjoyed the Morrocco part of the trip- what a different place. I have NEVER gotten sick and I've been to China, India, and all over Europe. When we were in Morrocco I never ate anything raw- no salads, no fruit. Just cooked. Also just bottled water.
