Sandals Luggage

Postby PAHOBBIT » Mon Nov 15, 2004 9:18 am

Mine came on Saturday. I leave n the 20th, so the timing was perfect.

I was extremely surprised by this luggage. It is actually a decent set, and is not the crap I expected for a freebie. If I had to find one thing to nitpick about, I guess the hot pink lettering would be an issue, but since my wife does not care, neither do I.

I also got my "sounds of the carribean" CD the previous week.. .. . It's beginning to look a lot like vacation time!

We just got back from Jamaica late Saturday night. A number of people had this luggage, so please mark your bags in an obvious fashion so that they are easily distinguished from others' luggage.

Good Point. Thanks, Debbie. I can see the ensuing melee at the Norman Manley airport when some unsuspecting soul tries to claim the bag with my wifes shoes in it.. .. .

This becomes very important. Also, if you choose to do it with luggage tags, make sure you use no nicknames. My MIL had special colored tags that she bought and loved, and they had Jim and Cindy instead of James and Cynthia. She cried when they had to take them off. It was not a big deal, but in the scheme of things, it was early and disappointing, lol.

I was actually thinking of stopping today, buying some fabric paint and putting just a large dot somewhere on each piece.

When we went to SMB 2 mos after 9/11 we used the beachside check in. The customs agent made us take off our sandals luggage tags because they had both our names on them . . She told us that each bag could only have one name on it. They gave us paper ones to fill out and I stuck the Sandals ones in my purse. I've since used them traveling to Mexico with no problem but I leave them at home when traveling to Jamaica.
