Globus tour - The Popular

Globus tour - The Popular

Postby Apples » Sun Nov 14, 2004 11:16 am

Hi

Was wondering if anyone has been on The Popular with Globus and how was it? Also, how were the optionals? How fast paced was it and if there was enough free time to go around on your own.

I went on the Continental Introduction tour, which is very similar to The Popular. I felt we had plenty of time, but both of these tours are meant as an introduction to the various areas. Let me know if you have any specific questions. by the way, I loved my trip and would do it again!

HI,
I went on the Popular in September of this year. It was an excellent introduction to the different countries. It is very fast paced. The optionals were excellent but if you do most of the optionals you have very little time on your own. There is an good day by day review on the Google.com board. Just type in globus popular. I will attempt to post the url and maybe you can copy and paste. Make sure there are no spaces. http://groups.google.com/groupsq=Globus . .. .. . net&rnum=2

hi,
thanks for your comments. I'll check out the review in google.com and i'll get back to you. I'm sure i'll still have some more questions to ask. Since i haven't been to europe yet this might be a great chance for me to get a quick introduction of Europe getting to see different countries and places i've always wanted to see.

Thanks again.

Here's a handy thing for posting urls.

copy the name of the website that you want to share

go to www.tinyurl.com

paste your website into the box

It will give you a tiny url that you can more easily share with people - it won't be so long.

Try it, it is really cool. I've added it to my Favorites Links so it is handy when I need it.

Boy this is weird - I was trying to find the website that perfessor was talking about and did a google on that tour. I came up with another bulletin board that has the same notes as this one.

www.travelmb.com/

I saw my own posts and didn't remember every posting there. As I looked more closely, it had the same notes as this board but with a different background and different website name.

I went on the popular

Postby frenchlaser » Sun Jan 16, 2005 6:46 pm

In June 2004 I went on the Popular. I thought the optionals were ripoff's because they definitely weren't worth it. I loved the tour but it was just my grandma and me and the optionals were $746. Go on my post teens aboard and see all of my posts. I don't really like the food over there and you really don't have time to wonder around after optionals. You only get on choice for the optional in each unless you are spending more than one night. I loved the tour and am going to take another. I did buy many things. I had fun and everyone was really nice. Please visit my post, I think it will be helpful. Please email me if you have any questions at frenchlaser@aol.com. .

It would depend partially on what part of Europe.

That said, we went the END of June/first part of July and needed jackets almost every day in London and Paris. It was warm in Lucerne and hot in Rome.
