Best of Britain and Ireland Tour

Just returned from Cosmos Tour October 24th. If there was a smiley to pick from that looked worn out and very tired, I would insert it here. The reason for this post is to warn you that it is a very ambitious tour requiring a fair amount of stamina to keep from being frazzled at the end of each day. Even hearty souls were seen dragging themselves in and out of the bus. The hotels, with the notable exception of three, were clean and good sized. Most were older with some very old. Most were not in the mainstream of the larger cities, but it seemed there was local transporation available to go into town if you wished. The food, though filling, becomes extremely boring after about 3 days as all the hotels offer only the buffet style full English breakfast. I would have loved a pancake or waffle. The evening offerings were just as dull so when not included we looked for pubs to eat in. Pubs are great and give you a good amount of tasty food for your dollar. Be prepared to spend approximately an additional $500+ per person if you choose to do the optional activities. The US dollar is poor value now so everything seems to cost twice as much as it should be it in pounds or Euros. Both our tour director and excellent bus driver made it a memorable trip.
