Check out Golden Star Cruises (they only have one ship :the Agean 1) or Royal Olympia Cruises. The ships are old, but the destinations are great, staff are always helpful and the fact the ships are small just helps to create a family atmosphere -as you can tell I've been on quite a few cruises..

I too have been looking for ships sailing the Greek Islands (I was led to believe Royal Olympic was belly up) . And while I haven't made it there yet, I did come across the Star Clipper line of sailing vessels (mega yachts). Being "under sail" seemed like a nice way to get around.

I was told Royal Olympic went belly up, too. We are booked for June with Louis Cruis Lines (through Brendan Tours with an extra 2 days in Athens) for a 7 day Istanbul/Greek Islands cruise. I have not been able to find any reviews on Louis and I am getting a little nervous about the accomodations onboard. The only review I saw on the net said the ships are old and not all the cabins have bathroom facilities. I am a little concerned because our cabin and meal seating are assigned when we arrive. (For as much as we are paying for this cruise, I better get the late dinner seating as I requested.) Has anyone been on this cruise or tour? I have NO INFORMATION on it yet and I need to plan wardrobe as we will not be leaving from our home in the U. .S. Any comments would be greatly appreicated.

you will find most of the greece based cruise ships are old and musty. we have been on 2 royal olympia cruises and believe me they deserved to go bankrupt. their food was terrible the staff was not very concerned with your needs.
THE BRIGHT SIDE THOUGH GREECE IS A BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY AND THE PEOPLE ARE MAGNIFICENT AND FRIENDLY. YOU WILL LOVE THE ISLANDS.
DO NOT MISS OIA (ON SANTORINI) AND ITS DONKEY RIDE UP AND THE SUNSET.
GRIN AND BEAR IT WITH THE SHIP AS THE TOUR IS WORTH IT |

Oh No! I thought this cruise was very expensive comparatively, so I will frantic if it is below par.
