Thanks for any information :D[/quote]we took the globus tour Italy at Leisure in September and although this tour was excellent i think Leisurely
Italy is better. This tour offers 3 days in Venice and skips Milan, which was just ok. Some people extended their tour to Lake Como area of Northern Italy and we should have too. Our weather in September was wonderful in the 80's. Take the optional side trips when you can as they were well worth the extra money.

Thank you very much for the information. I also liked the fact that this tour has three nights in Venice, instead of two.

Do you happen to know how those people ,that went to Lake Como, got there? Did they go by Train or some other way? I was thinking of doing that also. Would love to hear any info , you might have, on the Lake Como arrangements as well.

Thanks again,

We met two couples that extended their trip to the lake country of Italy. One couple was hooking up with friends and renting a car and staying in bed and breakfast's for four days. The other couple were going by rail and I have been in touch with them. They just loved it and said they made out fine by rail and their travel agent helped them rent a hotel. My husband and I are still talking about our trip to Italy and how much we loved it. It was our best vacation and globus was the best!!! If your tour offers these side trips try to take them: Roman Highlights and Dinner, Tuscan Dinner, Uffizi Gallery (a must) A Venetian night out and the Gondola Serenade. These were well worth it because they included so much. The tuscan dinner was at a beautiful restaurant with dancing, drinks on the balcony and real celebration all for 50 euros, plus unlimited wine. Could not be beat. You will love this trip do not hesitate as you will not be sorry.

I must agree that the Tuscan hills dinner was very enjoyable and in beautiful surroundings with great music. The Venice night out was so romantic also. I didnt notice the smell that others did from the canals.
Lucky me!
