canada still rude after all these years

Postby bothered » Fri Oct 22, 2004 7:09 pm

 We wet to canada to see the new casino and the REO Speedwagon show. tickets were purchased online. Room was reserved online. Got to the border, only to be turned around because my wife got a DUI 2years ago. According to canada's law you are not permitted in there country for this offence. Tell me is this right ? I'm out the cost of tickets a room, and not to mention the 4 hour drive getting there! Well as far as i'm concerned they can shove there casino were the sun don't shine. I'll stay here in the good old USA and spend my money here . . TO all who read this I hope you feel the same way. Do we really need to spend our money there? I think not.

Same laws apply to those who enter the U.S. with previous criminal convictions including DUIs.

I was denied a job with an airline becuase i had a dui 3 years ago. They said they would have hired me but i cant get into canada, where they fly too sometimes. Canadien laws are stupid. They basically allow you to never forget your mistake. Yeah i drove drunk, and it was stupid, but i learned my from mymistake. Now i am just trying to move on and Canada will not let me

Check out the U.S. immigration forums for those trying to bring in a fiance/e from another country say like England. The guy/girl has a minor conviction from 25 years ago.. ..shoplifting with conditional discharge. Good luck trying to get your fiance/e into the U.S. Works on both sides. :?
