Thinking of a surprise long weekend for V-day. I'd like to go to Europe but I'd like to avoid a cold and rainy weekend. Suggestions? (not London or Italy)

How about London (sorry I couldn't resist). . When I think of Romantic, Paris comes to mind as one of the most Romantic places in the World. Of course other Great choices would include parts of Germany or Brugges Belguim or Amsterdam as a few examples. What do you look for when you say "Romantic" ? That would help us get a better Idea as to where a perfect Romantic place for YOU would be. If I was going it would be Cardiff/Wales but my Wife would want the Cotwolds/England and we would end up on the "Romantic Road of Germany" . .. ..oh too have such a delemia-lol.
