we're planning a feb trip to italy.. ..any thoughts comparing perillo and globus? grazi! roberto

I have been on both tours and found that Perrello is in a word "overpriced". .

We just returned home from "The Best Of Italy " tour with Globus. We had a fantastic time.

We just came back last week from Italy's Great Cities and we had a great time! I was orginally thinking about the Perillo tours but I thought it was a bit overpriced because of the deluxe hotels they offer in their tours. But honestly how much time do you really spend in your hotel.. .. . NOT MUCH!
Globus was great and I would definitely travel again with this company.

Only one or two Perrillo tours offer deluxe hotels. I have taken the Northern Classic with Perrillo, the Best of Italy with Trafalgar and the best of Southern Italy and Sicily with Globus. Many times they are the same hotels.
When there is a difference, the Globus hotels are more centrally located. I would choose Globus if they have the trip I want. Trafalgar would be a distant second and hope that they do not cancel. I am sure that I would not travel again with Perillo but I know people who travel with them exclusively. Different strokes, etc.

I went on a Perillo Tour to Italy a few years ago and wasn't impressed. The hotels we stayed in weren't memorable. I'll definitely go with Globus next time.
