How are the nights, temperature wise, in cancun during the january months

My wife and I are planning to make a Mexico round trip this winter by car. On our way down to Yucatan we have planed to take the central route and on the way back the Pacific Coast route. However, we are not shore if we have enough time to enter Mexico City D.F.. . Yet if so would be the case we have to pass by Mexico City D.F. but we can’t figure out which way to take from Morelia to Veracruz North on District Federale or South. Actually the difficulty in picking out the most suitable and worth seeing route starts after Zacatecas, Morelia, and Pachuca triangle. I left out Guadalajara, which we want to see on our way back. We would appreciate any guidelines or suggestions.

Which route? Mexico round trip by car!
