Homeric -!

Homeric Tours is just like any other scumbag travel agencies out there. They are nice if everything goes well, they get their money and you go on your merry way on your trip. Their travel insurance only covers medical reasons for yourself. For any other emergencies, medical not pertaining to yourself, lost passport, denied visa, YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK because they will not refund your money. Travelers should really re-think this kind of service that we are getting from agencies.

I disagree, yes they do have limited insurance for air only purchases but this is an option that you purchase. You can always get additional coverage by buying their air ticket with your credit card. I went to Greece with them some time ago and we had a great time. Their staff were great both in the states and overseas. To say they are like any other scumbag travel agency is wrong!

Homeric

JennC should have done a littel more research about what is needed to travel abroad as well as read over all material sent over by Homeric. Travel insurance should not be confused with issues like Passport or Visas. If one is unsure, they can always go to a travel agency to advise them of all of the options as well as find out what is covered in the insurance as well as what documentation is necessary to travel. That's why there are travel consultants out there - to avoid problems. Obviously, JennC went at it alone for whatever reason and it ended up costing more in the long run.
