I have been on a few Insight tours and love them. I especially love how they rotate the seats on the bus. I am now considering taking a Globus tour and wonder.. .. ..1. Is there really and difference between the two companies and 2. DO THEY ALSO ROTATE THE SEATS ON THE BUS???

I know they are both upscale tour companies and am having a difficult decision since I like tours from each of them

Just like the rest of the Tour companies, Globus do operate a seat rotation policy. Rotation depends on the TD directing clockwise or anti-clockwise, and number of rows.

I took a Globus tour a few years ago and don't remember seat rotations - we just sat where we wanted. We did have a great time, I thought Globus did a wonderful job. We are now looking at the Eastern Europe tour from Insight and are looking forward to trying out a different company.

We did an Insight tour of Switzerland in July rotating seats clockwise meaning every day we sat 2 seats back from where we started. This was great because everyone had a turn at sitting in the front where you got the best view of the magnificent scenery. We did Cosmos tours of Italy and Greece before and after Switzerland where we were supposed to rotate. But there was always someone not wanting to follow the rules and rushed for the front seats and the Tour Director didnt bother saying anything.

Im looking to travel on the Insight Italian Escapades Tour in June. The other option ís the Italian Mosaics tour with Globus. Both tours are exactly the same, Insights are $400 more expensive but by the looks the Insight hotels seem a little better.

However, I was told by a globus consultant (!) that Insight will be finding it diffcult to accommodate travellers this year as they are booking hotels last minute and may have to resort to hostels. I was reading a persons response under "hotels"on this website, she said that Insight changed all the suggested hotels for bad quality hotels on the tour.

Has anyone travelled on the Insight Italian Escapades tour over the last month or so and how did you find the hotels?? or has anyone travelled on the Globus Italian Mosaic tour and really enjoyed the tour and hotels??

I know everyone says you only stay in your hotels to sleep but hey we are paying for 4 class accommodation - I would like to get my moneys worth!!!
