anyone from africa or ever been there? if so.. ..where r u from or where have you been?

im from johannesburg but havent been to any other countries in africa besides south africa

anybody got an opinion on africa?

I live in NYC and have been to Africa twice. In 1998 my son, who was 12 at the time and I traveled to Tanzania for two weeks. The following year we traveled to Senegal, CoteD'Ivoire and Benin. I enjoyed both trips but it is our East African trip which haunts me. I have to go back. Lorraine

In 1969 I spent the most incredible 3 weeks of my life on photographic safari in Kenya, Tanzania & Uganda. I have always wanted to go back but feared so much had changed that i could never recapture my 1969 experience. Last Oct. a friend's daughter (w/ Nat'l Geographic photogs) went for one month and she, too, had the same experience. She said a couple from Johannesburg was in her group who had only visited South African game parks, etc. and they said from now on, they would revisit East Africa again and again.
