I thought I read somewhere that there is an 'exiting fee' to be paid when you leave Jamaica.. .. .. ..is this true? Can anyone tell me the price of this per person, and if to be paid where do you pay this?
Can this be included in the package price with a travel agent or is this completely separate?
Also, what is really the best way to get from Montego Bay airport to Sandals Whitehouse . .. .. .. ..as it is further south, will busses be the only way to go or are there taxis???? what is the ballpart cost of both of these?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If I remember correctly the Jamaican departure tax is $27 US per person. The last few times we went (flying Air Jamaica) we paid the tax at the time we purchased the airline tickets. You can check with the airline or your travel agent if this will be included in the price of your tickets. Airport transfers are included and arranged by Sandals you do not have to pay extra for transportation to the resort. The size of the bus or van will be determined by how many couples will be going to the resort at the same time.

Sandals also has a private arrival lounge. After gathering your bags and clearing customs, you are wisked away to receive a complimentary beverage while you wait for the bus to depart. Rumor has it that there is even a computer terminal to send a quick postcard letting folks know you've arrived safely. Nice perk.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. . would be especially nice if it was in the departure area, but nice none-the-less
