My wife and I just returned from St. Lucia and wanted to pass on some information regarding taxi service (island tours/sight seeing). .

Our taxi driver from the airport to the Regency owns his own taxi company. If you are visiting the island and were interested in touring the island, we highly recommend giving this gentleman a call. He is a local that has lived on St. Lucia his whole life. He knows the island backwards and forwards, is very personable, and friendly. For a 5 - 6 hour tour he charged us $35 USD per person (which I believe is a lot less than other services). . We saw villages, water fall, rain forest, beautiful views, and many other non-traditional stops. Being pool and beach people, we wondered if we would enjoy the experience, but we definitely did!

He has a mini-van (brand new) with plenty of room for 3 - 4 couples comfortably. If you can find an additional couple, it would be ideal.
