Carnival Cruise versus CaravanTours

Carnival Cruise versus CaravanTours

Postby patrickM » Wed Jul 21, 2004 3:21 am

How can a cruise compare with a tour. I am planning to go to Costa Rica and looking at CAravan Tours, 10 days, all meals all inclusive, see the whole country for $995 (in fact all their tours are $995). . Or Tauck Tours which has a deluxe tour for about $1995.

Cruises, when you add the shore excursions cost lots and you only see a drop of the country. Mainly confined to ships shopping malls.

Anyway, am debating as taking a family of three.

What do you think?

I AM A TRAVEL AGENT AND I LOVE WORKING WITH CARAVAN TOURS I HAVE A TON OF CLIENTS WHO LOVE THEIR SERVICE AND ITINERARYS NOT TO MENTION THE PRICES.. .. . BUT YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT WITH ALL THE SHORE EXCURSIONS SOME TIMES ITS BETTER JUST TO TAKE THE LAND TOURS INSTEAD OF A CRUISE AND SHORE EXCURSIONS.. .. . THAT IS IF YOU WANT TO SPEND MORE TIME AND SEE ALL THE SIGHT IN ONE COUNTRY.. .. . IF YOUR MORE IN TO THE PARTYS, AND BEING LAZY, AND JUST LOOKING AROUND THE PORTS OF THESE LOCATIONS THEN TAKE THE CRUISE BUT IF YOU WANT TO LEARN ABOUT THEIR CULTURE, SEE EVERYTHING THERE IS TO SEE.. ..I SUGGEST THE LAND YOURS AND THEY DO THEM IN BIG GROUPS AS WELL SO YOU WILL STILL MEET NEW PEOPLE. IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN HELP YOU WITH PLEASE LET ME KNOW. 800-733-4703 KIM

Costa Rica with Caravan

HI. Costa Rica is a country of many climates and features. I really loved the CAravan tour because it was cheap ($995) and comprehensive (10 days withall activities and meals included) Some of the days were a bit full as we were doing lots of things. The hotels were very good and the meals were good too. I thought it was a great value and have also gone on caravan's Mexico Copper Canyon and Mexico Ancient civilizations, so, they seem pretty consistent. Also, the tour bus was pretty filled up. But the fellow travellers were a lot of fun and got to know a few well.

Good luck with your travels. [/b]
