We are going on the Star Princess Mediterranean Cruise in August. Stops Kusadasi, Rhodes, Naples, Florence, Rome, Monte Carlo, Venice, Barcelona. Any tips on excursions to take or to avoid? Should we book our own excursions at port with the local companies or should we go on Princess sponsored tours? Any safety concerns in Kusadasi? Please message back with helpful tips! Thank you.

We have cruised with different cruise companies and we must say Princess is the best organized for shore excursions. We have however found on our last Princess cruise that prices were a little bit on the expensive side for what we got. On balance, yes, it's worth the premium and we would recommend booking the shore excursions offered through Princess, for convenience and brand quality assurance if not for anything else.
