If you are planning a honeymoon in March/April 2005 you might want to consider the brand new Sandals Whitehouse resort opening in Jamaica in February 2005. Right now they are offering this resort at a 50% discount. All rooms are ocean view and being that it is brand new it will probably be very nice. As far as the people working there I don't think you have anything to worry about. My wife and I have been to Sandals four times now and have always raved about the service. Don't worry, just go and enjoy your honeymoon.

Hi sandals addict. Since you and your wife have been to sandals 4 times I was wondering if you ever visited St. Lucia? If so which resort? Thanks

I was wondering the same thing. Have you ever been to Sandals Grande St. Lucia. My Finacee and I are going there for our Honeymoon in November and I would love to here some feedback. I am so excited to go to this resort. I think it looks amazing but there isn't very much feedback about it.
Thanks!

Sandals St. Lucia

Postby Sandals Addict » Thu Jul 08, 2004 1:01 pm

I am sorry to say that my wife and I have never been to Sandals in St. Lucia. However, a co-worker of mine went to Sandals Halcyon last year and she said that it was her favorite Sandals resort so far. We have always gone to Jamaica, mainly because of the lower cost and less travel time, which of course equates to more beach time. We have stayed at both Sandals Royal Caribbean and Sandals Dunn's River and enjoyed them both tremendously. The only advantage to Royal Caribbean is it's proximity to the airport in Montego Bay. I am sorry that I couldn't help you on your inquires about St. Lucia, but I hope my co-workers response helps.

Where ever you go as long as you stay at Sandals I am sure that you will have a great time.

went to dunn's river for our honeymoon jan 04 and have already booked a return trip. this time to whitehouse! irie! i think that dunn's is really one of the nicest for the price. i did A LOT of shopping and unless you want to pay an arm and a leg in st. lucia, dunn's is the nicest. i got mine for $2400 through prestigeservicetravel. ask for Kelvin. 1800-676-1692.

The travel to St Lucia is the expensive part. :) especially trying to get into the northern airport. I opted for the southern airport and a bigger plane. Arrive in Philadelphia on Dec 26th (1 hour flight) and then jet direct to Hewanorra (5 hours flight time I think it said), then through customs and hop on a helicopter transfer right to the Grande. (15 minutes instead of the 2 hours taxi-bus ride). .

Northern airport would have been more than double the travel time and $200(US) per person MORE so the southern airport even WITH helicopter transfers was a far better deal.

Airfare, a week in a swim-up lagoon room, helicopter transfers totalling about $7000 (US). . My 25th anniversary. we can finally afford it! :)

Good for you.. ..great 25th anniversery. About the airports you are right in saying that the travel time into the smaller airport is sooo much longer. Its not worth it. I would rather sit on the bus and enjoy the scenery. We looked into Jamaica and for a nice room it was only a couple hundred less.. ..so we decided St. lucia. Despite the additional cost, it is not by much. Plus the island of St. lucia looks so much more beautiful then Jamaica! We can't wait. Enjoy!
