Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could offer any suggestions, information or advice for either of these tours: Viva Italia (through Breakaway tours geared for 21-38 yr. olds) or Highlights of Italy and Sicily (through Trafalgar Costsaver tours). .

I am a female and travelling alone for the first time and am concerned about accomodations and safety. I am planning to pay a single supplement so that I can have my own room. Also, if you choose optional tours, are you pretty much with the whole group for the entire time? How much extra money do you suggest bringing for meals and optional tours?

I'm hoping that its quite easy to meet people and hang out with them or the tourist group to avoid being alone especially with the Breakaway tour option for nightlife / the beach.

I'm planning to go in early August 2004 and so will need to book within the next week or two. Any ideas/advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated.. .. .
