I would like some feedback on the extra excursion tours offered for the tours in Italy. There are so many, they seem to be overwhelming

Best of Italy Trafalgar Tour

Postby Cheryl Cunningham » Wed Jun 02, 2004 2:05 pm

I just returned from an 18 day "Best of Italy" Tour through Trafalgar. I've done a bit of travelling but never on a tour and was very apprehensive about doing this however I cannot say enough about how much it exceeded my dreams of what the trip might be. We saw so many different cities, landscapes, villages on mountaintops, castles, vineyards, beautiful churches and learned so much about the history of Italy (and hence, the world), had some good meals, had very nice accommodations, and had what must be the best tour guide on earth, Willy!! If you book with Trafalgar, find out who your guide will be.. ..wherever you are going and if it's with Willy, you are in a for a real treat!! Take lots of film because he is going to show you things you'll never want to forget! We also met some great folks on our tour, people I hope that we will be friends with for many years to come. It should also be noted that people drive like maniacs in Italy. Our driver, Enzo, was also amazing and, when you are spending lots of time on the roads, the person manning your bus is very important. So join up and have a great time!!

I went with T.T in 97 and had a great time, going again this year.Looking forward to going they had so many things to do and see it was just a matter of making up your mind what you wanted to do, but the only thing i can say is go and check them out. [/b]

My wife & myself took the "Best of Italy" tour in 2001 and it was
outstanding. This year we did the "Best of Ireland" with Trafalga and
that also was outstanding. I would highly recommend the Italy tour,
but please check on your stay in Rome, as if anything, it was not as
good as could be. as the time spent "not enough time in Rome" and also
the special Rome guide that Trafalga hired was not any good (he was a philosopher) and a very poor tour guide. The Trafalga tour guide was
also outstanding. Check before you go. I have yet to find a responsible
person who did not like a Trafalga tour.
