Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein

I am planning a trip to Europe and am considering visiting the tiny country of Liechtenstein while I am there. Has anyone ever been to Liechtenstein? Is it worth going to, or should I just skip over it? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

oh how i dreamt of liechtenstein!!

oh how disappointed i was!
mind u i was on a globus tour ( which was fine) but they whizzed u thru it in 20 mins and it was raining and early in the morning
all i know is liechtenstein was very modern looking
sure there was the princes castle
and it was a tint bit cheaper than switzerland i think..for souvenirs

there must be more to it!!!
my favourites are

switzerland ( thank u God )
canada.. .. ..lake louise and whistler..good work God

palm springs in california.. ..loved the little sprinkler systems on the shop fronts to keep u cool

venice.. .. ..hey i tried to warn one of the policeman that there was an abandoned suitcase outside a shop down one of those cute little streets
he looked at me and said"did u tell the shopkeeper?"
hahaha didnt know the shopkeeper looked after security

three weeks later the london bombings 2005 occurred..i bet u things woulda been different !

isle of capri is beyond beautiful but so is the south coast of nsw australia.. .. ..so all u guys wanting to go to australia.. ..head to batemans bay area..the water is so blue!! clear!! almost mediterranean

london is nice..proud . ..well kept..i was so sad to hear of the bombings

im off to dalmatian coast in late may 2006 via vienna and prague.. ..anyone got any must sees?
we are not so much into the manmade.. ..love lakes and mountains and pristine coastline
thinking dubrovnik and the hvar
any ideas?
where to stay in prague for two days? and vienna? zagreb?

I have been to all the mountains in the US and the Alps in Europe.very beautiful.

By FAR the MOST beautiful place I have ever seen is Alaska. It is amazing.

In addition if you have not seen the GRAND CANYON you must do so. It absolutely will take your breath away.

Liechtenstein

Over the summer I was on a tour with Contiki and we passed through Liechtenstein for about an hour for lunch. I believe our tour manager said Liechtenstein is famous for three things (I only remember two, however) and that is that they are the world leader in production of false teeth, and they are big on power tools. There were some nice little shops and cafes, unfortunately we didn't have enough time to enjoy them. A few of us went to a cafe for pizza and sandwiches, and they completely messed up our order, and two of us were left without food and had to cram down some Doner's (which were way better than any food I could get from that cafe) before our coach left. There was a castle there I believe, but I didn't see enough to make it worth going there for more than a few hours for lunch and a little walk. If your in the area or driving through it would be worth it. Keep your focus on Switzerland and Austria I say!
