My family and I just got back from one of the little known inland Club Meds in Europe. We were two of exactly three native English speakers. Everyone, including the very helpful Baby Club GOs, really made an effort with the language, as we did with our high school French. Also, considering the political situation, we had nothing but considerate interest in the political climate back at home. The Club was pretty full, mostly Dutch, Belgians and, of course, French.
One thing to watch out for, though, was the weather. Being used to the very consistent warmth of Bali and Phuket, we weren't all that prepared for the cold spells of eastern France.
Lastly, the only trying part of the trip was the long drive from Paris. Club Med only arranges charters once a week. However, the gorgeous waffles made right on the street more than made up for any inconvenience.
