sandals royal bahamian in october

Hi everyone. I have booked Sandals Royal Bahamian for a week starting October 16th. I realize this is hurricane season. But I was wondering what the daytime/nighttime temperature is in October. Also I have read that they do not heat their pools. Is this really a problem if the temps are in the mid-80s?? How cold does the pool actually get?

Is there any snorkeling right off of the beach? We have stayed at Beaches Turks and Caicos and they have a nice reef about a 10 minute walk down the beach.

October Sandals

db-

we just booked our trip to Sandals Ocho Rios the same week. everything i have heard is that the weather is hit or miss. when storms do come in, its brief, and with hurricanes, well, you never know! Our TA has been there then in the past and never had a problem with weather. additionally, i know someone who has been to Ocho Rios 5 times in late September/ early-mid October, and the weather has been perfect for them too.

basically, i am trying to hype myself into believing that the weather won't be an issue too. :) but i figure, i'll listen to someone who's been there during that time.

Weather is low 80's, low 70's overnight.. ..pretty consistent.
