I would like to take a trip and wonder if it is safe as well as fun for someone traveling alone? What about dinner time with the tours. Any thoughts?

My wife and I have taken several European tours and there are always people trafelling alone. We've enjoyed getting to know them and doing things with them. My observation is that you will be as alone as you want to be--you can always be part of a group of singles/couples. Lots of dinner times are shared (common table) so you won't have to bring a magazine.

Enjoy.

I've been on a few trips alone.. ..with and without a tour. It's fun. You get the alone time you need and when you want to be with people you'll always find some. It's perfectly safe. In fact, I went with a group to Morocco.

In my opinion it is the safest way to travel alone, because the people you meet and the tour director will look out for you. All passengers usually become frineds and you will be able to do things with all.

Go for it Pat. First trip I made with Globus, lady was traveling alone . .. .. . then and there, I decided I could do it if It evr came down to going or not. Fortunately, I have a friend that likes to travel as much as I do. We almost always invite the solo travelers to join us and I'm sure others do too.

we had 5 singles on our tour and by they had all the friends they wanted and quiet time when they wanted, as far as our tour group went we managed to eat with everyone in the group at one time or another. Each day the groups changed on their own and the singles were always welcomed. Enjoy the experiance, by the end of day 1 you will be relaxed and have new friends to enjoy the tour.

On the last tour that I took there were several singles. We all got along quite well with them. So, you shouldn't have any problems going on your own.
