Ages - mostly late 20's or late 50's?

Postby Walt » Mon May 17, 2004 6:26 am

I've taken two Trafalger (and some other) tours, and the age distribution is older, 50s to 70s, as I am. Primarily I think because we have more time. Usually there are some people in their 20s and 30s, and they are welcome as well. It ends up like a family with the young folks and the old folks.

That means the pace of the tour is fairly relaxed, even tho some of us wrinklies walked the kids into the ground.

Tour ages

Hi Mary
I just returned from a Trafalgar tour in the US.
I had a good time. I'm 40 and was one of the youngest in the group. The group was 60+ and I was told this was a younger than normal group. I was made to feel very welcome. Do not expect a physically active tour. Rarely did we venture far from the bus during the various stops. Trafalgar does know how to run a tour and treats its clients really well.

I would recommend booking another Contiki tour. I wish Trafalgar offered tours for those who they consider too old for Contiki but are not ready for touring with seniors.

What ever you decide - set your mind on having a great time and your trip will be wonderful no matter which company you go with.

I am 37 and have been on two Trafalgar Tours. "European Dream" was my first tour. We had people from Canada, Australia and the U.S. The majority of the poeple were in their 30's & 40's but we had people from age 14 up to 70 (?). . For my second tour I did "The Best of Germany and Austria". . There were not any children on this tour and the majority of the poeple were in their 40's & 50's although we had a couple of people in their 70's.

Trafalgar has "Breakaway Tours"

I believe those are aimed at the 20-40 crowd, though I can't be certain. My own 'first class' tour had a good age spread. As others have said, it was like a family, with some young teens (13-16) some older teens/early 20's a few folks in their 70's and the rest everywhere in between. But it was not a tour paced to the needs and interests of people in their mid 20's to mid 30's if that is what you are looking for.
