Yes, out of New Orleans last February (actually had to return to Mobile due to the two-ship accident in the Mississippi River). . That was not a big inconvenience and Carnival did a great job under extreme conditions.

The cruise was exactly what I expected: older ship, good food, decent shows, decent other entertainment, good atmosphere. Good value for the money; good stateroom accomodations. Did not expect classiest of treatment nor did I get it nor did I pay for it. It all worked out. Good party atmosphere. Not stuffy. Cozumel is ok. Atlantis Submarine excursion was fantastic. Scuba venue was very good as well. Not enough time (with being in port only 7-8 hours) to do the very fine Mayan ruin excursions.

Cozumel

We just returned from a 7 day Carnival Cruise out of Tampa, one of our islands was Cozumel. Lots to do there, Chankanaab Park was beautiful, we did the dolphine encounter, it was amazing. My parents are cruising out of Mobile at the end of Nov. , they are visiting Costa Maya and Cozumel. Costa Maya is so very beautiful and lots of fine shopping.. ..we didn't pay for an excursion on this island and yet we had a blast shopping and swimming!

You will love it, there is never a shortage of something or nothing to do! There is always something to eat or drink should you want it and it was a fabulous trip for me, dh and the kids! Enjoy!
