You must see Maui. The beaches are great for snorkeling. The Whaler condo.'s on Kaanapali beach are magnificient, although a bit pricey.

Have a great time. You will return.

Hawaiian Vacation

Many people who stay in Honolulu/waikiki for a taste of Hawaii go away disappointed. On the island of Oahu, I recommend the North Shore. Honolulu is a lot like any other city. It can be dirty, crowded, lots of traffic and noise. It has its share of crime too. The North Shore has none of that. It does have beautiful beaches (Turtle Bay - Sunset Beach, etc.), great snorkeling (Sharks Cove), great restaurants in Halaewa, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and absolutely gorgeous scenery. There's also Waimea Falls and Waimea Bay. Its about a 1 hour drive from Honolulu but even the drive is gorgeous.

For the best value, I recommend renting a condo from "Estates at Turtle Bay". . They are right on the resort grounds, they contain everything you'll need including washer/dryer, and you can cook your own meals which in itself will save you a small fortune in Oahu. Plus, the rent is about half the cost of a standard hotel room.

Other places to see/do on Oahu include; Pearl Harbor, the Pali Lookout, Hanauma Bay, Diamond Head (if you're looking for exercise), Punchbowl Crater (now a very moving military cemetery). .

Hope you have fun!
