The best months for visiting Alaska are May and June. July is still nice though sometimes rainy, especially towards the end of the month. August is our rainy summer month and can get a little chilly, especially out on the water. For some good deals on cruises to AK, visit www.skyauction.com. .
If you are coming all the way to AK, I suggest you cruise from British Columbia to Seward or Whittier and then take a land tour either through a tour company, on the train or on your own and head up to Denali National Park. It's spectacular! I live here and still go there a couple times a year.
