We are planning to join the CIE Irish Harmony 8 day escorted tour this summer. Has anyone taken this tour or a similar tour with this company? It will cover the South and Southwest of Ireland in a ring from Dublin to Shannon. Do you have any advise? I understand this to be a wonderful tour company.

I recently took the Irish Adventure tour and really enjoyed it! We had an excellent driver/guide-Dominic. We were fortunate to have a small group so there was plenty of room on the bus and checking in to hotels went smoothly. I especially liked the visit to Glendalough-very beautiful. Waterford, the Ring of Kerry and the Cliff of Moher were also included on our trip, but we didn't go to Kilkenny. Your tour is "Deluxe", so the accomodations are probably nicer, but the hotels we had were fine. Have fun.. ..try to spend an extra day or 2 and see some things on your own too!

I'll be curious to see the responses you get to your query, as I'm thinking of giving that trip ("Irish Harmony") to my husband as a birthday present. We won't be traveling until September, though.
