Ireland and Scotland

Ireland and Scotland

Postby heather » Sun Mar 28, 2004 6:41 pm

I am thinking of traveling to Ireland and Scotland in either Sept. or Oct. I will be traveling by myself. Any recommendations? I have looked at Contiki and a backpacking one with Celtic connection. Has anyone heard of or used Celtic connection? Is anyone else planning to go around the same time? Thanks for any input. :)

Hi Heather.

I would recommend CIE's combination Scottish & Irish Dream tour. It is 13 days and will do a splendid job of treating you to the highlights in both countries. Read the recommendations concerning CIE under their category on this site and you will see why many of us consider them the best escorted touring company. Your hotels will be first rate, their guides are exceptional, they include everything (rather than try and sell you "optional" excursions), and they go out of their way to find authentic and meaningful events for you to attend. It is worth every penny.
