Switzerland suggestions

Hi,

I gave a brief reply to a similar question under the "Switzerland" heading - 1 wk in Switzerland, please see that. In terms of hotels, I cant remember the names of the places we stayed in but in Lucerne it was a Best Western Hotel in a little square in the old town just back from the river and it was lovely. We stayed at The Ibis near the train station in Geneva which was also really nice and in Zurich we stayed in quite a nice hotel but little did we know when we booked it that it was in the red-light district!! Wont bother trying to rememebr the name of that one!!

The good hotels are more expensive than 50 $. . I suggest you to check in internet to rent a holiday apartment. There are a lot, in general consist of one bedroom, one small living, bath aaand a small kitchen. In general there aare very nice decorated, very clean. They do not serve the breakfast. You can find them in very good location and are very cheap comparing with the hotels. In Swiss and Germany we always look for this kind of accommodation.

Have a nice trip!
