If Carnival is #1, I don't want to go on any cruise. We just returned from a 5-day cruise on the Holiday. NEVER again. It was the WORST cruise ever. The ship rocked back and forth so badly that the pictures on the walls were banging. The embarkation and debarkation were unorganized and late. We were NEVER able to get off of the ship on schedule. The in-room safe was broken and we couldn't get it open to get out our valuables. Our window was covered in condensation so we really couldn't see out. Our TV was so dark that we couldn't really determine what was happening during the movie.

I see that you are scheduled to go in May. I REALLY hope your trip is better. If you have the opportunity to change ships, I'd advise you to take it. The Holiday is the oldest and smallest ship. Maybe we just happened to get the worst of it all and yours will be better.

Good luck!

It's too bad that jjuliannaa had such a bad experience. :( I've read good and bad reviews of the ship and the fact is your experience will depend largely on what your expectations are. If you just want to relax, be waited on hand and foot, and get away from it all you should have a good time. I'm sailing on the Holiday on May 13th 2004, and I'm determined to have a good time no matter what!!

Holiday May 8

Postby tropical dreamer » Tue Apr 20, 2004 2:16 pm

I am cruising on the Holiday, May 8. I can't wait. I've been preparing since last year(dieting, shopping). . What deck will you be on and where are you from? This is my first cruise. I've read many reviews. Mostly mixed. I believe it will be what you make of it.
