Perillo Tours

I'm also close to making a deposit on the Perillo Italy Classic North trip, and would like to hear from others who have taken it. I'm a little concerned that the travel agents don't know much about their tours, and I found that many of the hotels on their list of first class hotels are poorly rated in the reviews. I only spot checked, but so far, I've not ready many good comments. I also prefer to use a credit card for travel arrangements in order to take advantage of the insurance offered when using a credit card. I hope that the extra effort required to book one of Perillo tours is worth it. Any comments out there?

ive found from past xperience if you have a gut feeling as to whether or not you should do something follow your instincts.. .. .. . dont be sorry later.. .. .. .. . i would do some more checking before commiting to a company not many people know anything about.. .. . and no i havent had any dealings with this company im like you just checking things out.. ..i saw an advertisement on tv and thot id look it over!
good luck! :D

I can tell you this.. .. ..Perillo has been in business for many years (at least 30 years) and have an excellent reputation, otherwise they would have been Out of the industry a long time ago!

I can understand this logic, but.. .. .. ..most of Perillo's customers only go to Italy once so repeat business is not their "thing". . Therefore, staying in business for 30 years is not so much a function of quality as it is to excellent marketing of themselves as specialists in tours of Italy.

We went to Italy for the first time this past summer. I asssumed Perillo would be the one to go with as they are the only one that advertises in the States. We ended up with Insight because of the Itinerary and what they include that the others charge extra for ie most of the tour companies bring you to the Coliseum but if you want to go inside on a tour it's extra. I knew nothing about Insight, so I checked with AAA and they recommend Perillo, Insight and Trafalger. I suspect you will have a great time but might spend a few more $$$. . BTW when we got to Italy I was surprised that Perillo is NOT that big of a player. You WILL have a great time no matter what :D . .
