Reservation Messed Up

This is what happened to us. On June23rd, we gave a lady with Affordable Tours 2 different credit card numbers & our information for our deposit. We each received emails of flight information & balance due. My friend received a call from Gilbert with Affordable Tours in mid July saying there was some confusion with her reservation, that it was canceled. On July 16th I called him & he was working on it. I decided on July 20th to call the airline, so I could get seats. Well, I found out no one paid for our air fare & we got canceled. I was suppose to be booked on US Air going Charlotte--London. I then called Gilbert & he had us booked on a later flight going to Philadelphia & arriving London at noon. We did not want this, so now we had to fly United going Chicago--London. They had to pay the difference in air fare, since the price had increased. No one wanted to take the blame. I think the lady who took our deposit messed it up, since all the money got applied to my reservation. Gilbert was the luck person to straighten out this mess. My advice is to personally check on your airline reservation to make sure you are confirmed & the one you choose.
