ANYONE DOING THIS TOUR?
HAS ANYONE TAKEN THIS TOUR BEFORE ?
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR AND WHERE TO GO FOR DINNER SINCE I JUST NOTICED THAT WE WILL BE ON OUR OWN FOR MOST OF THE DINNERS

hOW IS IT?

Insight tours are outstanding. We have been on 4 of them. On the nights you do not have any dinners scheduled you will be offered optionals that include dinner. These are priced at 50Euros and up. Be sure to budget 40 to 50 Euros per day for optional tour excursions. Don't forget that you tip the tour director and coach driver.

Max has a good idea and I know he likes to take the optional dinners. I do not and DH and I prefer to go out to eat on our own sometimes while touring. I use Frommers and Tripadvisor web sites to find restaurants that are less touristy. Remember when you are touring and on your own for a meal to walk at least 2 blocks away from the city center to find a local restaurant.Always look for places patronized by locals as they know where the good food is at a reasonable price. Everybody has their preferred way to travel and this is just what I like to do.
I have not traveled with Insight but I have heard it is a very good company. Max has traveled with them several times.

You could check the Insight bulletin board for any information on your specific tour. That website is more populated and probably has several logs by people on that tour.
