You get what you pay for when you book travel with Gate 1. There seems to be a number of complaints about them. Certainly enough that we would never consider using them.

Has anyone read the negative reviews about Gate 1 Travel?

I just had clients return from Italy using Gate 1 & they raved about them. Everything went well and they were well taken care of.

Hi

Hi, I booked a trip to the Greek Islands with Gate1. They handled my airfare, all hotels, transfers etc. I have not left for my trip yet however, I called each hotel that I chose as well as the airlines to be sure that they had my reservation and that everything was the way I wanted it. It is!! I did buy my own trip insurance though through tripmate instead of the plan offered by Gate1. The plans are a bit more $$$ on your own but you have much better coverage if something goes wrong.
Anyway.. .. .. .. .. . I have also heard some negatives about Gate1 along with many, many great reviews as well. That is why I re-checked everything on my own. They saved me a few hundred dollars on my package so I'd say.. .. .. . go ahead a book.. .. .. . but just re-check all your arrangements and then you wont have to worry.

I have actually signed up to the 15 day Egypt and Red Sea tour in Feb 25, 09. I'm braving it because I read a great review with pictures from SEAFAN on another website.
Hopefully we'll make it!
