Hey - I'm taking this tour from November 12 - 25 2007, and wanted to get some input from those who have taken this tour in the past on which excursions were worth the $$. . Also just any tips you have on any additional sights to see outside of the tour schedule, places to eat, etc.

Another question.. ..are credit cards pretty widely accepted in Italy? I know I will need to bring at least some cash along, but would rather use credit cards for the majority of the time.

Any other tips/tricks/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Is there anyone else out there on the board who will be on our particular tour?

Did not take this tour but was in Italy last summer on another Cosmos tour and we used our Capitol One credit card as they did not charge a fee for purchases in Europe (most do and they can be high). . We had absolutely no trouble with it and also used our bank debit card in machines that worked well for cash. Do not take travelers checks!
