We are seriously considering booking either the Globasclassic fall foliage tour with the boston extention or the Collette New England island and mountain tour for October. I have researched inteneraries and prices of several tour companies. Tauck is too expensive. I have narrowed it down to Collette and Globus. The Collette tour seem to have a better tour, but Globus has much nicer hotels. The tour is actually for my mothernlaw and husband, and they both say they do not care about the hotels as long as they are decent. The Collette tour has some specific places they both are excited about seeing. The thing that concerns me is the feedback on these two companies. Collette has some really negative feedback. Has anyone gone on a New England fall tour with either company? Can anyone give me any pertinant information that can help us choose. My mothernlaw has been planning to take this trip for a long time, and considers it her last hoo-rah. I want it to be special. Please help.
