France in May/June, what to pack?

I am planning a La France tour for May/June of 2008-- yep, I'm obsessive!

How do all of you pack for such a trip?

Most of the packing guides suggest wearing things multiple times, etc. with the idea no one will know the difference. But I'm wondering, on an escorted tour, will people notice?

Do you do laundry in the sink? Or do many of the hotels have facilities?

Never traveled out of the country, just don't really know what to expect!

JC,

Indeed most people do not notice. Image a group of 40 people together for 10+ days. That means you have to remember 400 outfits. Can you remember that many?

If you are that fashion conscious, that you can do is change tops and pants. One day were a red top with a jeans and next a Blue top with a with pants, the next the red top with the white pants, and then the blue top with the jeans. There you have 4 outfits out of only 2.

If you were to take a very unique outfit, yes, then people would notice. As long as you wear "normal" clothes, you would be OK.

Is that the same bright-purple-and-orange jumsuit you wore a few days ago?

Yes, many people do laundry out of their hotel sinks.

And yes, many hotels have laundry facilites, which most people never use because they are expensive.
