Has anyone stayed in the Splendid Suisse Hotel in Venice recently? I understand it is under renovation and may be closed until April?? We are traveling in late April and want to be sure we get a renovated room. Globus "says" they will not book us in an un-renovated room. True??? And did you find the renovations to be an inconvenience?

Try going to tripadvisor . com for a recent review on any hotel.I use that site to make hotel reservations and review hotels all the time. I would not worry about the hotel in Venice though.The amount of time spent in each location is just not that long to stress about something you have no control over. I promise you that in Venice you will not want to spend anytime in your hotel room.THe most magical city I have ever seen. We only spent 2 days there and I can't wait to go back.
