We are looking at a Monogram tour to Europe next year but would like to know more about the company. Has anybody used them?

Monogram is owned by Globus and is advertised as independent travel. I have traveled with Globus several times on escoprted tours and always been happy with them. I am also looking at the Monogram Italy vacation for 2008 as I am now very comfortable in Europe and like the idea of all the free time. This year we have planned a river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam on Avalon,a company also owned by Globus.

Thanks so much. I did find out that they are owned by Globus and we went ahead and booked a London-Paris-Rome trip with them. I have been to Europe but my husband has never been. We like the idea of the independence, but with the transportation and hotels planned for us. Also, there is a tour in each city and optional tours if we wish.

Have a great time on your Monogram trip!. .
I think that it sounds like a good way to travel once you are comfortable in Europe. Dh and I spent 6 days in London last summer and that was DH's first time in Europe too. It was fun as and I was the tour guide this time and had fun planning our sight seeing. We saw alot and now DH wants to go back to Europe and see it all!!!!
I agree about Monogram and we are planning the Rome,Florence,Venice trip through Monogram in 2008! This year it's a river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam.

I would love to do a tour of just Italy but since my DH has never been to Europe we though the 3 main cities would be a place to start. Actually, in 2008 we are thinking of a Baltic Sea cruise and maybe do Italy in 2009. what cruise line are you taking?

We will on the Avalon Tranquility. Avalon is owned by Globus and I have always been very happy with their coach tours. Also Avalon and Amadeaus seem to be the 2 companies that get the best reviews from everybody that does river cruising.

If you are considering a Baltic Sea cruise, consider the cruises that Holland America offers. We are doing a 20 day Baltic cruise on their new ship, the Eurodam out of Copenhagen on July 5, 2008.

Rivercruises don't go on the Baltic Sea. Ilund mentioned a Baltic Sea cruise in 2008. The Eurodam still has cabins available for the July 5th or 15th cruises.

Let the front desk at the hotel you are staying at know that you are willing to share the cost with other hotel guests.
