I just returned from my honeymoon ast SDR. I loved the resort. I don't know what it looked like before the remodel but I can tell you everything is modern from paint to marble flooring. We stayed in the Oceanview Room which was nice but not that close to the ocean.
The nicest thing about SDR is that they only have 250 rooms and I am told have been booked solid since reopening and it never seemed that busy.

Glad you had a great time. They are really updating their resorts and going for a more sophisticated look. A big improvement in my opinion!
