Returned yesterday from the HOE tour and it was fantastic despite all the airline troubles!!! We had a great TD named Bridgette and she couldn't have tried any harder to make our trip one to remember. She made sure everyone on the tour had a good time and if they had problems she worked hard to solve them. She insured we went to the head of all the lines at the sites we visted and tried her best to fill our heads with all the info we needed to really apperciate what we were seeing.

We had a couple of familys travling with us w/ kids and since they did not want them to see the shows in Paris she arranged for another optional that was not offered for them and anyone else to go to instead.

Motels were first rate and all centerally located in the towns with the exception of Paris and even then you can easily catch public transportation to where u want to go. The included meals were as one would expect . .. .. . since they were trying to insure that everyone could find something to eat it varied from menu to menu.

If it's offered in 2007 u should go and hopefully u will have Bridgette for your guide as well, she will make the trip!!!!

What were the airline problems you had? I won't know until October if the HOE is offered in 2007.

No real problems with the airlines other than the long security lines in light of the bomb plots, when we arrived at Heathrow the lines for the departing passengers was out in the parking lot and it got worse from what we were told. Leaving Paris we had to go thru 2 security check points, I didn’t mind seeing as it does give you a little since of security.

The tour itself was great; we started off in London by going to Windsor castle and then on Sunday we got to go thru Buckingham palace since the Queen and family were on Holidays in Scotland. This only happens during the month of Aug every year so if you think you would like to do this you may want to go during that month. It was well worth the cost to see inside the palace and grounds. We left London and headed to Amsterdam, the cruise thru the channels there was great, many things to see, Ann franks museum/house is on the waterway and the lines getting into see it are usually 2 hours long.

Let me know if you want more info on any of the options and the other places that u see on this trip.
